Stump Shooters Archery Club
Welcome to the Stump Shooters Archery Club. Our purpose is to promote archery as a recreational activity, to provide facilities for the sport of archery, and to promote archery fellowship.
FACILITIES
The Stump Shooters Archery Club offers both indoor and outdoor shooting facilities. The indoor range is located above the American Legion building on Mitchell's main street. The indoor range is 30 yards and has 10 shooting lanes. The outdoor range is located near the Mitchell airport. The range is a very nice wooded area with a walk path that contains 25 backstops with burlap animal targets. There is also a practice area with targets at 20, 30, 40, and 50 yards.
MEMBERSHIP
Annual dues are $35 individual, $50 family, and $20 youth. Membership includes access to both the indoor and outdoor ranges. You must be a member or a guest of a member to use the shooting facilities except for events that are open to the public. Membership includes unlimited access to the outdoor range facilities. To become a member, stop at K & B Archery in Mitchell or contact Jerry at opbroekja@santel.net.
LEAGUE SHOOTING
Winter 3-D league runs from January through March. Targets are all Rinehart 3-D targets. Several targets are moving targets. Targets range from 10 yards to 32 yards. This 3-D league is a great way to enjoy archery over the winter months.
3-D SHOOTS
The Stump Shooters Archery Club hosts two annual 3-D shoots. The 2012 Indoor 3-D Shoot will be held at the National Guard Armory on Feb. 24, 25, and 26 (check the Upcoming Tournaments box above to see a shoot flyer). This shoot consists of 40 Rinehart targets at ranges up to 35 yards. The 2012 Outdoor 3-D Shoot will be held at the outdoor range located near the Mitchell airport on July 27, 28, and 29. This shoots boasts 60 Rinhart targets at all ranges up to 60 yards.
